Meet Kellie Jenkins

An accomplished educator. A dedicated public servant. A respected member of our community. Meet this lifelong resident of High Point, a proud graduate of Guilford County Schools, and a three‑time graduate of High Point University. For more than 30 years, she has served our region as a classroom teacher, K-12 Certified Reading Specialist, instructional coach, assistant principal, university supervisor, teacher licensure coordinator, Beginning Teacher Support Program Coordinator, National Board assessor, NBCT Ambassador, and candidate coach. Few individuals bring such a comprehensive understanding of instructional practice, school leadership, and educator development.

Beyond her work in schools, Dr. Jenkins is an active civic leader. She served on the City of High Point Citizens Advisory Council, the Helping Hands of High Point Board of Directors, and the Executive Board of United Way of Greater High Point. She leads free Saturday tutoring for marginalized students through High Point Prep Academy, demonstrating her commitment to expanding opportunities for all families.

Dr. Jenkins is running for the Guilford County Board of Education, District 2, with a platform grounded in accountability, academic excellence, teacher support, and transparent governance. She brings a steady, informed, and community‑centered approach to leadership — the kind of leadership that strengthens institutions and builds trust.
